Mother of 2

Vice President Awake IL

Chair, Moms for Liberty Cook County

Sales Executive

Helen resides in Skokie with her husband of 20 years and 13-year-old daughter, who attends Fairview South Elementary in Skokie.  Their older son is 26, is a Niles West graduate, and lives in Tampa selling investment real estate.

Helen’s parents migrated from Jordan in 1969, and as Christian Arabs they were considered minorities in the Arab community. Even though Helen was born in Chicago, her first language was Arabic. She then began to learn English as her second language when she entered Kindergarten.

She has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and is a trained software engineer who works as an enterprise sales executive for a company based out of Palo Alto, California.

Over the years, Helen has been actively involved in her community:

Girl Scouts Troop Leader for 6 years

Engaged in Community Fundraisers, Food & Aid Drives

Leading Activities of Gratitude and Awareness for Law Enforcement

Actively involved in Parental Rights, Civic and Economic Development

In 2020, Helen got a glimpse of what was being taught during remote learning in classes, the mask mandates, and indoctrination, then went into full momma bear mode. She co-founded a coalition in Niles Township and, for two years, supported parents in voicing their complaints to school boards. She has since then moved to a Chapter Chair for Awake IL Niles Township and is launching the Moms For liberty, Cook County chapter.

Helen is a firm believer that our future generation deserves better. The innocence of children is being diluted by harmful agendas that only serve one purpose - to make our children illiterate revolutionaries in order to push socialist and communist agendas. Our children are not to be used as political pawns.

Helen is full of tenacity and grit. When she is not reading or trying to solve world problems using tech or through parental rights advocacy, she spends time with her family, cooking, biking, and geocaching.
